I’ve finally got round to analysing the last six months worth of log files for this site. I put them together with all the others, and this is what I found:
Over 738 days, I had 344,681 hits transfering 1.79 gigabytes of information. Approximately 28,343 visitors spanning 8,244 unique IP addresses. That’s an average of 12.16 hits per user, and an average of 38.41 users a day (2002 was the busier with an average of 49 users a day), with each users visiting approximately 3.44 times.
What also makes interesting reading is the list of countries from which our visitors have come (the numbers are the number of hits from each area):

Of course, all these stats relating to the users are fairly inaccurate due to the use of proxy servers, and the fact that all the information is sent to our server from their browser, so if they play silly buggers with their browser, then we don’t know any different.
What is indisputable though is the fact that the most popular page was the cartoon index, and the busiest day was December 19, 2002 with 3,818 hits which is over the number of hits taken on the next busiest day which was March 26, 2001 with 1,784 hits. The busiest time of day is between 2pm and 4pm, and the busiest days of the week are Tuesdays (16.56%) and Thursdays (16.74%).
